- Build a theremin!, rejected because it's too simple, and the focus would be more on engineering the controls rather than measuring a physical phenomenon
- Compressed air energy storage, rejected because too much engineering work would be needed
- Tempest emissions detection, rejected because the focus would be mostly on deciphering the electrical signals sent to a monitor
- This phenomenon I observed where, if you have a radio transmitter in a car, you experience a lot of interference with certain tunnel geometries, especially when entering or exiting a tunnel---probably too difficult to experiment.
