Idea
In this project, a repeatable pulsed Neon (or some other gas) plasma will be produced in a low vacuum, by a high-voltage DC or RF source. A spectrometer will be used to obtain the spectral line ratios of different transitions, through a view port (or a fully transparent vacuum container may be used). Measurements at different phases of the pulse and at different spatial points can be explored.
