Motivations
In this urban jungle, it is indeed difficult to get some nice peace and quiet. The demand to drown out background noise is probably part of the motivation why companies developing headphones/earphones are actively looking into noise-cancelling technology. The preliminary ideas for this project is to cheaply develop and demonstrate how noise cancelling can be done starting with basic equipment like a set of speakers as well as some microphones.
